How songwriter Justin Tranter helped evolve Music AI Sandbox

Embracing the potential of AI in music

“As a songwriter, after all I used to be apprehensive at first — I’m very protecting of my neighborhood,” Justin says. Songwriters are, in spite of everything, the guts and soul of the music ecosystem, shaping tradition via their artistry.

As Justin started experimenting with the instruments, their perspective shifted. “By way of working with Google and YouTube, it turned evident that Music AI Sandbox empowers songwriters,” says Justin. Utilizing these instruments impressed new concepts and opened up new artistic avenues, enhancing Justin’s craft.

We spent 36 hours with Justin over six weeks, working side-by-side to discover the probabilities of Music AI Sandbox. Collectively, we examined all the pieces from creating and reworking new sounds to structuring songs and crafting lyrics that match particular melodies. Justin shared their insights into the songwriting course of, and our staff used that suggestions to construct and take a look at prototypes in real-time, consistently refining our ideas and method. The end result of this collaboration was “Silent Tension,” a track created by Justin, vocalist and songwriter Blush, and producer Shawn Wasabi on the legendary Village Studios in Los Angeles.
